"Let children know unconditional love, acceptance, and
protection from prejudice"

Becoming a parent can fill you with all kinds of emotions- joy, excitement, hope, anxiety!

Having a child can change the way you see the world and others. Sometimes priorities change as does your social life! Children can bring families together and can help everyone realise that you have entered
a new phase in your life.

Namings and welcomings help to mark these changes as a new person joins a family and circle of friends. Naming and welcoming ceremonies are for all children- including young and older children who are adopted. Too often we busy ourselves with everyday lives and commitments and a naming allows you to step back, reflect and share and celebrate with others this new little person who will always be a part of your life.

Many people use namings to formally thank parents, family and friends for all their help and support.
Using our experiences as a mother and father and advocates for a children's charity we can help you to design and write a ceremony which everyone will be able to relate to whether they are religious or not.

In the ceremony you can state your love and commitment to your child and your hopes and dreams
for their future. The meaning of the child's name can be celebrated as part of the ceremony Guardians
(as many as you like- record currently stands at 10!) can be formally appointed who can speak for
themselves or who can make another contribution - such as doing a reading, making a toast or planting
a tree. Balloons can be released with promises attached, gifts, cakes (or other food) can be and shared.

Above all the day must be one that family and friends can look back on as a significant, happy occasion. Ceremonies can be held inside or outside, anywhere at all as long as it suits you and your children.

We are more than happy to speak to you about the sort of ceremony that you would like and can help you with combining the day with other special events- birthdays, weddings etc.

We have officiated for celebrities and stars of TV and will be happy to advise you about how to include music, dance, poetry etc.

allowed to live and to
grow and grow and grow

and can decide things for
ourselves
